Mechanical Engineer

Responsible for composite component structural design and will be actively involved in manufacturing support.

Responsibilities:

  • Design of mechanical components including generation of detailed documentation, mechanical drawings, and assembly drawings
  • Effectively communicate with internal manufacturing and external suppliers in both orally and written form
  • Responsible for engineering and manufacturing documentation including bill of material, change orders and revision control
  • Ability interface with internal staff, customers and suppliers to achieve design requirements and specifications

Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years Mechanical Design with the following preferred (in order):
    • Composite Design
    • Stress Analysis
    • Solid modeling
    • Manufacturing Engineering / Tooling
    • Drawing Creation
    • M&P

 

Composites Technician

The demand for our composite parts has experienced rapid growth over the past year based on our ability to form any complex shape and our ability to develop long-lasting relationships with our customers. At AdamWorks, the rate of change is high, requiring individuals who can excel, adapt and help propel our businesses forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with and fabricates parts, structures and tools using various composite materials
  • Works with and fabricates tooling, fixtures, etc. from various composite materials
  • Follow design drawing instructions and written process instructions in the fabrication of parts
  • Works directly with Design Engineers in performing fabrication and assembly tasks

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years experience with large composite structures fabrication and/or test
  • Experienced with typical composite lay-up techniques
  • Experienced in handling and working with composite materials, fiberglass, carbon fiber or Kevlar
  • Experience in using standard machine shop equipment and tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, innovative, and collegiate culture
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal directions for composite lay-up
  • Ability to effectively work in a team to accomplish large part fabrication
